Taekwondo testing is this Sat. - Nov. 8, 2008. Eligible students should make sure they have their forms into the UMACA office no later than Thurs., Nov. 6, 2008.

Congratulations to all of UMACA athletes who competed in the Stars-N-Stripes Tournament in Kansas City, Mo., on Oct. 25, 2008. It was a great finish to an award winning year!

Olympic Sparring Classes Now End at 6:45 p.m.
Based on parent feedback and instructor scheduling conflicts, the Tues. and Thurs. sparring classes will now end at 6:45 p.m. rather than 7:00 p.m. If you have any questions about this scheduling change, please email or stop in a talk to Master Chapman.
UMACA's Own, Margie Cooper, Receives National Attention for First MMA Fight
Introduces St. Louis to Rita and Lolita
Margie Cooper was victorious in her first MMA fight held Fri., Aug. 15, 2008. Battling through almost two complete rounds, the fight of the night ended with the entire crowd on their feet. Cooper was declared the winner.
Cooper, who trains at UMACA in kickboxing, taekwondo, jiu-jitsu and muay thai, has thus-far lost 108 pounds.
